
MALBORK
The elaborate Gothic castle complex in Malbork was built by the Teutonic Knights in the years 1274-1457. It is the largest medieval fortresses in the world. It was the seat of the masters of the Teutonic Order and the capital of the State of the Teutonic Knights. The castle has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997.

STUTTHOF
Stutthof was the first Nazi concentration camp set up outside German borders in World War II, and the last camp to be liberated. Over 110,000 people from all over Europe were deported there and subjected to extreme labour conditions and murder.

SZYMBARK
Szymbark, located 38 kilometres away from Gdańsk features the ‘Upside Down House’ symbolizing the upset caused by communism. There are also traditional Kashubian village cottages and wooden huts inhabited by Poles who were imprisoned or exiled to Siberia, Here, one can admire the longest table in the world made from just one piece of wood.
